Tethering a Nikon D300
I just downloaded Capture One 4.6.3 and I am trying to shoot tethered with my Nikon D300.
When I plug the camera in Capture One pops up, but in the camera field it says NO CAMERA ATTACHED. I can't seem to figure out how to make this work correctly.
I have my USB mode set to MTP/PTP, but it still will not find the camera.
Any ideas?
I am on OS X 10.5.5

Did you create your tethered folder for your session. Only tested a D300 that a friend had once and it worked perfectly. Opened Capture one, created session with tethered folder, plugged camera in and turned on. Few seconds later camera was recognized and started shooting.
I would go ahead and upgrade to the latest OS if I were you also.0 -
Did any solutions come up? I have exactly the same problem with Nikon D300 on a Mac. Works fine on the PC version, but just get a NO CAMERA ATTACHED message on the mac.
Using 10.6.1 snow leopard and v4.8.3 of capture one. D300 is in MTP mode with newest firmware. Computer detects the camera fine and I've tried different cables so it's not a connection issue.
I've tried creating new sessions and re-specifying the tether folder, no issue there.
Help appreciated!0 -

Some troubleshooting tips that might help (substitute Canon for Nikon if that helps too 😉)

I had a D3 on loan from Nikon to test as I will be switching back to Nikon from Canon and had the same problem. Camera showed up in system profiler but isn't recognized by CO5. Fyi.......no one on here had any helpful solutions. Had the D3 for 4 days and wasn't able to test it tethered at all ☹️ 0
