I cant get the H25 to show up in C15.02

I plug the back in the firewire and the back lights up, and C1 sees it for a split second, then it is gone, and I cannot see the camera. Is there a setting I am missing? I set pref to Tiff, but that is really not related. Help??

Power issue most likely. Make sure you are using an external hub or battery supply, the H25 needs more power than the laptop can likely provide.

Your response of only the power as a sollution indicates this is the first time you have such a situation. ...(hope I am wrong) 😊

I am using the hub plugged in...The same case on my desktop machine with full FW power.

Using 3.7...no problem, the camera is recognised and captures. Using C15, the camera is not available long enough to do anything. Perhaps a specific driver to install for Win 7?

I want to also mention how much this forum is appreciated, The response is very timely. Perhaps we can solve this before my Shoot on Saturday.

    thank you

    Raffi,
Create a support case and provide us a System Information file. We can look at the specifics that way and better understand the issue. You're likely on the right track with suspecting the drivers.

thank you I will do so. In the mean time if you have any driver suggestions or links I might try, I would greatly appreciate links or any leads to them.

    best,
    Raffi

I subitted a support email. What sys info is needed?

Also, I see there is a folder with p1c11394 Drivers under sys32, then 3 in Driver Store(not editable even as admin). I have 2003, 2005, and the latest with 5.02 drivers (that maybe the issue). Which should be the right one under W7?

I made a trouble ticket last night, and they asked a few questions
-memory amount, which is to spec,
-the OS type 64 or 32. I have both on different systems, but so far the 32bit.
-if it works with CO4. I have not installed Capture One4.

I'm faceing the same problem on my desktop PC which has windows 7, 32 bit operting system, intel core 2 Duo.

Captureone 5 /windows7 does not detect the P30 at all.

What is the work around to work on windows 7..?

    Regards

See viewtopic.php?p=34525#p34525 for creating a System Information file (which you can upload to your case).

The P30 issue on the desktop may be related to the Firewire card compatibility. Check to make sure it is on our list of recommended cards. Also, you might want to check out this known issue with Vista.

Yes some DB users are "technicaly able" to some level.

I didn't have the Sys info uploaded, but didn't realize that would cause me not to get any reply from support. Or perhaps things are slower towards the weekend? Regardless, another example of how these forums are so helpful.

thanks. I will update my support case with the file.

    Raffi,
Indeed things are slower toward the weekend. Even us tech's need some time to relax 😉
The supporter handling your case will get back to you first thing Monday morning but it would still be beneficial to have your system information file. The driver does seem to be the issue here and the supporter can likely help you through the troubleshooting. Please also confirm that the issue is the same with C1 4.

very well, I hope you are well rested 😊

I was advised to skip CO4, so I never installed it.

The patch file support uploaded to the case so far has not worked(Vista FW fixer) . I was able to install i after logging on in SAfe Mode. Would love to get this resolved asap.

here is an update...I was able to manually install a older driver then I was able to update that with the patch (driver 1.50.0.32721). It actually worked for a little bit and I was able to capture a few frames. But now it is NOT working again. The camera shows up as an option in CO5.02, but everytime you select it it give a camera error.

CO5 says "A thread failed to start at teh requested time"

Thought that once it worked I was good to go, but no luck. 4 hours left for my shoot and no camera. If I don't get this working, I will be renting something to take its place, and cross my fingers ☹️

    Dear Drew,

I'm a fresh and happy user of a H10-11M back. I would like to buy a FireWire card to my desktop PC (win), but most of the producers don't give any info about the power coming out from the port.
Could you please post the new link to the list of recommended FireWire cards? The old link is broken.

    Thank you!
