The profile is probably not taged as an workspace.
Use color sync utility or simular to check this.

Ulf's hunch about the profile tag is correct.

Most of the workspaces commonly used (AdobeRGB etc) are matrix-based profiles, which have a mntr tag. However, the TIFF RGB profile is not a matrix-based profile, but uses lookup tables for the RGB <-> Lab conversion. The tag for the TIFF RGB profile is spac.

Whereas Photoshop will allow you to use a spac profile as a workspace, Capture One won't let you select this type of profile for the destination. I say \"won't let you\" rather than \"can't use\" because if you change the tag of TIFF RGB to mntr it appears to work fine (though I haven't tested this fully). This approach isn't recommended though, as it results in a 'mutant' version of the TIFF RGB profile being embedded in your images.

Perhaps PhaseOne could consider the ability to use spac profiles for destinations in a future version, especially if the TIFF RGB profile becomes (is?) widely used (though I had not heard of this profile before this thread).

In the meantime, I guess that your best approach would be to process your images in Capture One with the camera profile embedded, and then create an automatic droplet in Photoshop to do the camera profile -> TIFF RGB profile conversion.

    Best wishes

    Jason
