5DII C1 Pro 7.1 live view issues
Running C1 Pro 7.1 on OS X 10.8.2 with a Canon 5DMkII. In Live View mode, is there a way to magnify to check focus as you can in EOS Capture? Magnifying in the Live View window seems to magnify a smaller live view image--which is nice but generally useless if you want to check fine focus on some part of your image.
Any way to get a "real" magnify, other than by running EOS Capture alongside C1 and using Hot Folder? (and fwiw, is there a fix for C1 going into 'spinning beach ball' mode if you accidentally unplug the camera's USB cable?)

The "Zoom" tool in Live View does give you a 1:1 magnification at 100% and you can continue to zoom in if need be.
Regarding the disconnect, I can't say that I see the same behavior if the camera is unplugged... even during the transfer of a Capture.0 -
You're correct: it does give full view at 100%. However, I'm running into another issue in 7.1.1: you can't seem to move the 100% zoo from anywhere except the dead center of the frame. Repro case:
1. start C1, connect 5d2
2. open up Live View
3. set zoom to 100% or above
4. switch to Hand tool. move hand around. you get 'Focusing...', and the view appears to move...then the view snaps back to the center.
5. ok, that was a bust...let's try Live View Navigator. Move square around. Square moves and sizes, but after 'Focusing...', the main view always snaps back to the center at 100%, irrespective of what you set your zoom level to.
You can move around if the zoom is less than 100%, but (as I mentioned before) what you get before Focusing... appears to be an upsampled version of the preview, rather than a downsampled view from 100%, so you're zooming onto jaggies--which is pretty useless for doing focus checking.
Also, if you get a Camera Error, is there an easy way to force C1 to reattach the camera without having to shut down C1 and restart it? Going to "None" in the Camera panel and then reselecting the 5D2 fails.0 -
and for what it's worth: I'm running EOS Utility 2.12.3 on OS X 10.8.3. Camera firmware 2.1.2 0 -
You should not run EOS Utility and tether to CO Pro 7 at the same time as it results in disconnects. 0 -
Not running EOS Utility and C1 at the same time--just included my EOS Utility version in case its drivers make a difference (shouldn't, but one can never sometimes tell...) to C1's operation. 0 -

It depends on what type of "Camera Error" you receive. Can you get us specifics in a support case?0 -
Description: Exception: An unexpected error occurred..
Domain: com.phaseone.captureone
Any way to get more info than this? (Though this is a minor issue compared to panning the 100% view not working correctly).0 -
