moving a catalog from windows to mac

Hi there! is there a way to move a catalog from windows pc to mac? I tried to export the catalog on my windows machine and the importing to mac, but it hasn't worked for me. Thanks for all your help.

    Well after going to to costumer service, I now know that I should have gone through the open option instead of the import option. All is good now.
