Large Catalog Best Practices
When working with a large catalog (Catalog file is 27.4 GB with 82k images) what are some best practices to follow to get the best performance out of Capture One 9. Currently it is very sluggish when moving from photo to photo. This is a catalog that was just upgraded from Capture One 8 (the conversion process looks good, no big jump in file size or lengthy conversion)
Thanks
Chris
Computer iMac OSX 10.10.5, 3.5GHz i5 chip with 32 GB, multiple disks with read and write times of ~400MB/s and ~380MB/s
the Images are mostly Nikon D800 raws
Thanks

Is your catalog file on the OS disk? I think I read a recommendation that the catalog file needs to be on the OS disk eg where C1P is installed. Also is the disk a SSD? Also I think there is a compact or optimize feature in the backup process have you done that as well? 0
