Upgrade from C1 Express 8 for Sony to Subscription?

Is such an upgrade possible? Currently, I can only see an upgrade proposal to the perpetual license with a rather small discount.

  This is basically a User to User forum so the members are unlikely to be able to answer your question with any authority.
  
  I would suggest that you contact Phase directly and ask the question.

  Subscription is only for "full" Pro.
  
  The other option as you state is a perpetual Pro (for Sony) licence - this you can get from Express as an upgrade.
