Workspaces and dual screen configuration
I am evaluating C1 Pro 7, and I am experiencing a problem when trying to save a workspace.
I have 2 screens, a 30" and a 23". I place the viewer window, as large as possible, with the tools on the left, on the 30" screen, which is on the left ; and the browser, as large as possible, on the 23" screen, which is on the right. By "as large as possible", I mean that I enlarge the window by hand, I do not use the "full screen" option of C1.
Then I try to create a workspace with this configuration: invariably, when I click OK to save the workspace, the viewer windows switches to the right screen (over the brower window). If I switch then to the default workspace, then back to my saved workspace, I get the same behaviour.
Is this a bug, or a mistake on my part?

Sounds like a bug.
Question to feed my curiosity: what happens when you use one of Dual Monitor workspaces that come with the program?0 -
Paul, thanks for your reply.
When I manually position the windows as I would like to have them, then switch to either of the Dual Monitor workspaces that come with the program, both of their windows are located on the same screen, the 23" one on the right.
However, when I first switch to the Default workspace, then switch to either of the Dual Monitor workspaces that come with the program, they seem to work properly.
Thus, the arrangement I wish seems to trigger something strange in the window positioning routines.
I make do for now by arranging the windows as I would like to have them, and keeping a backup copy of the com.phaseone.captureone7.plist from the ~/Library/Preferences folder, to be able to return to this configuration if need be.
I have tried copying the "com.phaseone.captureone.viewerwindow" part of the com.phaseone.captureone7.plist file (which contains the window coordinates) into the workspace file, but this doesn't work. I can send you my com.phaseone.captureone7.plist and workspace files, if it helps.0 -
Hi Bernard,
Interesting observations. If you want to take the effort, you'd best send the files you mentioned in a support case, which you can create here:
http://www.phaseone.com/en/SupportMain.aspx
Because you are evaluating the software, skip the registration fields.0 -
Thanks again Paul, I did just that. 0
