So I have resigned to using sessions. But MP does not see any CO7 edits.

How does Phase one expect us to work like this? What are my options?

I am like you - I only use sessions and use MP to open up my selected photos in CO 7.
Someplace in these threads I recall reading that PO will update Media Pro so it sees the CO7 changes. I view that as critical, as that (MP seeing CO 6 edits) was one of my major drivers in switching to MP as my main catalog software.

My option is to wait a short time. Then we'll see how much LR 4 improves things such as speed compared to CO7.

similar situation here. And a number of folks on Luminous landscape. Reading the posts makes one wonder why all this effort in developing something complex and undesirable.

Sadly Sessions works like Catalog in a number of ways.
I agree with those to make the developer without either and do as Capture One v 3.7 did. Phase can work on Media Pro to rid the porblems with formats and make exporting files and examining file more visually cohesive and keep that as the catalog app. Media looks really good, it just has enough issues to use an alternate manager.
Have a sidecar file. Whats the big deal?

I personally LOVE having sidecar files. I am then in control to move backup... as I see fit without worry that a program will forget what changes/edits I made to the files.

    As for LR speed issues....
Adobe vs Phase One can be summed up like this

Adobe = "the problem is with you not us"
Phase One = " we are aware of the problem and looking for a resolution"

I believe that C1 produces a better image but to be perfectly honest they are so close in so many ways that I am no longer searching for the best editor or Cataloger but rather the fastest and smoothest workflow.

Secondary to that is "integrity" . Lets face it - all programs have problems. I am more likely to side with a company that tries to help me with these problems over a company that tries to tell me that I don't have a problem.

So far I have reported 3-4 bugs in CO7 and have heard back that they are now working on them. With Lightroom I have documented steps to reproduce problems on multiple computers and platforms yet adobe insists that these problems dont exist even though others report the same issues. "Integrity" brought me to Phase One and will likely keep me here. With that said CO7 and MP are very unfriendly in their current state.
