JPEG Orientation on Import
I have been running against something that just mystifies me.
If I import images directly from the card of my OM-D to a MP catalogue, it doesn't seem to recognise the orientation of my jpegs in portrait format. The previews are not correctly orientated in the import dialogue. There is no problem with the Raw.
If however I first import the images to a folder on my drive and then import them into the catalogue, MP recognises the images and everything is hunky-dory.
Is this known behaviour? I don't know whether there is something I am missing on the import command or whether it is a bug. Is there any workaround? It is messing up my workflow.

HI
Novice user here who has same problem - try selecting all and then rebuild items. I find that sometimes coming back to jpegs they are the wrong way round, even though I am sure I sorted them out!
Hope this may be of help!0 -
Thanks for that rebuilding is also my normal first port of call, but I have already tried rebuilding them. I have also tried the Apple processing engine rather than the Phase One one (although that should only have an impact on Raw files). No dice. If I try JPEG rotation I find that occasionally it really mucks the files up to the extent that I have to delete them and start the import again.
I don't get this problem when importing from a folder.0
