Only nef files are imported

I noticed problem as in subject.
When downloading images from card, only nef files are imported, jpg files are ignored. Bug, or some secret filter?

  Why do you need or want the jpg if you have the NEF? All you would be getting is what the camera things looks good...

  The is no obvious automatic hidden filter that I can see although you can set a visible filter if you wish or enable the Global filter for disabling display of certain file types. (View Menu > Global filters)
  
  If the jpgs are very small they may not be selected - C1 will not do anything with jpgs that have a longest side of something less than 540 pixels (as I recall - that might not be the exact value.)
  
  I would doubt the jpgs from a camera would be that small but it seemed to be worth mentioning anyway for information.
  
  Whether that would have an influence on what was being selected I have no idea.
  
  Are you sure you have not inadvertently set either the Global Filter or a self defined filter?
