Shooting Tethered really slow to get preview
Hello everyone
I'm new and was after a few answers:
I am currently using the trial version of Capture one with the intent of buying it, I have been trying it out with my Canon 300D (shooting RAW) tethered by USB2 cable to my laptop, but the transfer is really slow, about a min or so per picture, can anyone suggest why this might be or a way to speed up the transfer rate.
It was much quicker on the job I assisted on last week, and the files would have been MUCH bigger.
Thanks in advance

Hi there,
I hope you did not buy this camera because you were told it was USB2... because it's not, it's USB1.1 therefore the extremely slow transfer rate.
300D (rebel digital) = USB 1.1
350D (rebel xt) = USB 2
So, suggestion to make it faster (tx rate) : Buy new camera!

I have had the camera coming up 4 years now, so am looking to buy a new one anyway, 😄 just wanted to give the capture one software a go and also to learn how to use it for assisting jobs.
Thanks for the reply..0 -
Good...
I'll be getting the new Nikon D80 in a few weeks... You should check it out...
I assume that v4 of C1 will provide real thetered shooting with Canon and Nikon camera.0
