keeping levels into photoshop
Hi using c1pro 3.7.4 and cs.
when adjusting levels in raw to optimize b&w point, these values seem to be lost when processed image levels is checked in CS, leaves gap on histogram at either end and stretches hitogram out, defeating object of good raw histograms?
jIs this a cs preference to maintain the values through in to photoshop.
Any body had similar experience or do you have an idea why?
thanks in advance

I have noticed lately that levels are not preserved in Photoshop.
I tend to shoot fairly high-key images, but to hold detail in the highlights, I turn on the "Custom Target Colors" option in the levels tab. I set the highlight point down a bit, to make sure nothing is all the way up to 255. This is similar to the output levels control in Photoshop. But I've noticed since 3.7.4 or 3.7.5 that if an image had a lot of information up in those last ten points or so, even with these settings, there is information above 245 when I open it in PhotoShop.
PhaseOne, why is this occuring?
Thanks,
