Photoshop compatibility
Hi, I am a new user of Capture One and since I installed it I have been having problems with my computer. It is possible this is not a Capture One issue, but I only began to have the problem sine I installed it so I believe it to be the cause. Excuse me if this question has already been asked and solved, I tried to do a search but my keywords were too general.
I am using Windows 7 and Photoshop CS5.
I believe Capture One has been ''trapping'' file data, making it difficult to change or delete the file. When I open the file in Photoshop and try to save over the original file, Photoshop tells me it is already open in another application. I save the file with a new name, but then when I try to save that file the same thing happens ad infinitum. When I close Photoshop and try to delete the previous versions of the file, Windows tells me the same thing. Only after a system restart can I delete the files.
I believe someone could say this is a Photoshop problem, but this only started happening the moment I installed Capture One, and I believe it has been retrieving data from the images. Is this possible? Has anyone else had the same problem? I have uninstalled Capture One and even deleted all the associated files and preferences (I could have missed some) but this problem is still here.

Tried it, but still cannot delete .CR2 files, even when emptying the C1 trash! 0 -
Michael, Have you re-booted your PC? 0 -
Hi Michael,
Are you referring to the defective "Empty Trash" command under the "File Menu"? In other words, you've decided to delete the CR2 files while working in C1, but as they are stored in the "Trash" folder. However, when using the "Empty Trash" command, the CR2 files still persist in the "Trash" folder?
If this is so, than this isn't new, I first observed this during the earlier version of 5 and it persisted all the way up to 6.2.2. According to C1, they tell me that this is "normal" and that they don't plan to fix the "Empty Trash" folder bug.
The only thing you could do is to submit a support case as an additional vote to have this bug squashed so that files in the Trash folder will be flushed when the "Empty Trash" folder is executed by the end-user.[quote="Michael17" wrote:

I cannot delete ANY .CR2 files on the computer now. And yes, I have rebooted the computer. 0 -
I experienced and now know what you described, Michael. I remembered a temporary session I placed on my Desktop (I am on a PC with Win 7 PRO x64).
I did the workaround as described previously and it fixed the problem. I now have control over my files.0 -
Did it again and rebooted for a second time. It is now OK. 0
