C1 v6.x batch process & adj copy/paste not working
Previously the computer was working perfectly. C1 v5.x was a bit buggy but manageable. Installed 6.x to get local adjustment feature. Tested the app and things seemed ok, camera tethered etc.
Preview would not advance to new captures as they came in (despite settings being correct).
New captures would not inherit settings/crop from previous capture (settings were correct). As a mater off fact, a random crop seemed to always appear on new captures. Removing the crop did not stop the crop from appearing on the next capture.
Copy/paste adjustments to 1 or 10 selected captures does nothing.
Tethered capture completely stopped working about 1 hour/30 shots into my job.
Checking all the settings, shutting C1 down, restarting the app and/or the computer had no effect on the bugs.
Deleted 6.x and reinstalled v5.x.
Tethered shooting worked again. Hurray!
Now I'm processing 125 files and v5.x batch and copy/paste clip board are also dead.
Deleted v5.x again, deleted: user > library > app support> captureone > (all files in this dir)
Reinstalled v5.2.6 from scratch.... Same thing. To adjust a group of files I need to use the individual tool tabs to copy/paste only those adjustments.
To process files they need to be added to the que ONE AT A TIME! No batch or group of files can be added or dragged (don't know if dragging was ever possible but it didn't work either). So you think: no big deal, just stop the que, click, click, click... load the files. Nope! The Que asks every time a file is added "The Que is stopped, would you like to restart it now."
The first 5 or 6 clicks to load files for processing go ok but then it slows to a crawl and takes about 5 or 10 seconds before another can be added.
Looked for a .plist file that is associated with C1 and there doesn't seem to be any?
Is there a preference folder or settings folder that can be trashed to correct this? Seems like V6 has messed up a file that the fresh v5 seems to inherit.
Macbook Pro, 2.5 core 2 duo, 4GB ram, OsX 10.5.8, 500GB 7200RPM HDD, 100GB available. Shooting to shared folders.
Any help would be appreciated.

related to preview selection and pasting: try selecting the "Capture Folder" in the "Session Folders" section of the library tool to see if it makes a difference. 0 -
And try staying on version 6 instead of reverting 0 -
Thanks for the tips.
No, clicking the capture folder in the short cuts didn't solve the issue.
Clicking 'Copy Adjustments' and waiting (15 sec - 2 min) has no effect on if they are applied to other selected captures.
Couldn't stay on Capture 6 as it was almost unworkable for processing but totally dead for tethered capture.
As I was shooting and working on 100's for files with a client in attendance, the priority was to get the computer working back to normal. Just finished 4 days of shooting/processing with C1-6 induced problems.
In the next 2 days I need to process 200+ files from another job for retouching. Even in C1-5 I now need to click each and every file, one at a time to put them into the process que.
I kick myself for not making a HDD image (or time machine set-up) to roll back to a previously working system. My bad... However, this will make me look at alternatives....0 -
It sounds like a few things were turned off. Edit Primary Variant for example.
Please install Capture One 6.0.1 to fix some of the other bugs that were mentioned above.0
