C1 Pro 7 Distortion Correction
Can horizontal and vertical barrel distortion be adjusted independently and manually? Or, do you have to input a lens profile and let C1 do it automatically? I've been spoiled by the Power Retouche Lens Corrector plug-in for PS, which is an extremely versatile tool. I guess an alternate route would be to go with C1-7 Express and continue to use Power Retouche.

My observation is that with the Lens tab you can adjust barrel distortion with one slider. Horizontal and vertical adjust at the same time. However, there is a separate Keystone adjustment to make vertical perspective adjustments. I'm a very new user, but that is what I see. 0 -
Hi,
to start the easiest way to thoroughly correct for distortion would be to check in the Lens tools tab whether there exists already a correction profile for the lens-camera combination you're using. Especially if you're shooting Nikon or Canon you'll find a nice selection of correction profiles. If your lens is not supported (yet) you always can choose one of the generic profiles and make adjustments via the Distortion slider. In addition and as Ron AKA already mentioned you can make perspective corrections via the Keystone tool. Hope this helps.0
