Try any external firewire-hub with power supply. I think it doesn't matter which brand. I'm working with a hub by sitecom.
I know this issue only in case of overheating the computer either by ambient temperature or by a problem of the computers cooling fan.
Try also an additional USB-Fan. That works very well.

Hi thanks for your reply.
So you only have this problem when your Macbook Pro overheats? I always have this problem. Do you know if there is any "hub not powered "that works?, so I can shoot outdoors.[/img]
Unfortunately Apple changed the power supplies of the firewireports. That is the reason for problems like you have. Well, it is necessary to have a power supply on the hub for solving these problems.
Another reason for your problems can be the length of your firewire cable. Maybe try a shorter one.
Another trick is to change the powersupply of the back from "automatically" to "battery". Maybe that works.
And please check, whether your book is unusely hot...

Hello

I would suggest 3 things.
1. Go to Preferences - Camera setup - make sure Capture File format is set to IIQ L or IIQ S
2. On the back set power source to Battery power.
3. Make sure Capture One version is 3.7.6
