Crop size

Hello,

I am a nature photographer and I do a lot of crop but C1P does not show me what is the actual size of the final image in pixels.

I am seriously thinking about going back to LR just for this (well I also miss the radial filter) since I do not know if I'm losing quality in the final result

Does anyone know how I can solve this?

  One may choose a ratio using the crop tool. Final output can be specified in the process recipes (the gear icon).
  
  For example. You may choose to keep the same aspect ratio your camera uses, and output to jpeg at the full cropped resolution.
  
  I often crop images to a 16:9 ratio, and specify in the process recipe the long edge of the image to be 1920 pixels, which is the specification for 1080p (full HD) video resolution.
  
  I suggest you read the user manual, found under the "help" heading in the program.

  The crop values are shown according to the settings in the selected process recipe (the highlighted one, it's not necessarily ticked 'active').
  
  Try setting the 'Scale' to 'Fixed' and '100%' in your process recipe.
  
  With the crop tool unit setting 'pixel' you can see the actual size of the crop in pixel.

  I created a new processing formula with your instructions and now I can see the size of the clipping in pixels while I cut.
  
  To export only change the processing formula

  The combination of process recipe and crop tool setting gives you a number of options on how you see the crop values.
  
  For example:
  
  With the recipe set to 'fixed' and '100%', the crop tool unit can be set to show
  - the actual size in 'px' or
  - the size in 'mm', 'cm' or 'in' according to the resolution set in the process recipe.
  Different percentages result in down- or up-scaling.
  
  When the recipe is set to a value, like '1000 px', '5 cm' for width/height/dimension/edge, the export is down- or up-scaled to match that value. Again, when using 'mm', 'cm' or 'in', scaling is done according to the resolution set in the process recipe.
  
  Up-scaling is possible up to 250%, or the corresponding value in 'mm', 'cm', 'in' or 'px'.
  The numbers on the crop edges turn red if the scaling exceeds 250%.
  
  The crop tool unit can only be set separately when a 'fixed' percentage is given in the recipe.
  Setting the recipe to a width/height/dimension/edge size in 'mm', 'cm' or 'in', the crop tool automatically uses the same unit.
