Capture Crash 12
I am running the V.12 as Testversion on my mac.
Yesterday i startet a Cataloge as a test from my HDD, 76 GB pictures....today C1 crashes all the time. It starts, but crashes when i try to look in one of my folders!
Simple task for a Programm like C1 i guess?

No, it is your call first to create a support case. The support team works with you on a one-to-one basis. This is a moderated user forum.
We, the users, are eager to help you with questions about how to use the program and find features so that you can benefit. But if your system crashes, please contact support and come back later and join us for more. I am looking forward to that.0 -

I have this issue with one of my catalogs. With my drive offline. I have a folder that also links to folders on my internal drive. I click one of of those folders linking to my internal drive. Poof. Crashes.0 -
I m having the same problem with the app crashing on me when clickibg on a folder in my catalog structure (HD connected or not) and also when trying to import new folders into the catalog choosing «choose folder» to indicate where the new images are make the app crash in the same way ...i submitted a bug report and i hope they manage to fix it as i was hoping to finally get away from LR as my raw converter... 0 -

I managed to debug the first crash when clicking on folders in my catalog...I had a "tiff" filter applied (as I looked for my edited photos) and somehow when i had the filter applied it made the browsing crash...I removed now the filter and I m able to click on the different folders and browse them without it crashing ...
the other crash when clicking on "choose folder" in the source is still buggy and crashing the application ...i tried to look into logs etc but did not find a work around ... so still not able to add to my catalog for the time being...0 -
I also managed somehow to fix the second crash somehow ...I m not sure which step actually helped so i ll just drop it here if it might help someone else experiencing the same crash (browsing file system in import dialog)
1- selected all files in the catalog
2- sync metada
3- regenerate previews (I m suspecting there was some problem with some previews and this is might be the reason it was crashing in the first place). I did not wait until all previews are generated ( i probably should have but ...)
4- removed the usb disk and closed the app
5- restarted the app with photos offline and i retried the import and voila it worked the app did not crash and i was able to browse my local hard drive...
6- I connected the external hard drive where my photos are located and i managed to import the new folders to my catalog...
(fingers crossed 😄 )0
