Snow Leopard Graphics Update
Apple has released on August 18 a Snow Leopard Graphics Update…
Since I have downloaded and install that update on both my MacBookPro and MacPro (both Intel) I find that C1 speed is SIGNIFICANTLY increased…
Today I could work on a folder containing more than 1200 CR2 (Canon 1DS3) files, applying styles to all in about a minute (before it took about 10 minutes for the same kind of job but on 300 files only, otherwise more files would make C1 crash)…
I have no clue why this update brings that speed, but as it does on both my machines, I thought I had to share…

I was skeptical, but having installed the update, I must agree that C1 renders image adjustments much faster than before.

I wasn't aware that C1 used the GPU to render previews. I thought it was all processor based. 0 -
Gareth,
The update here is a Graphics Update, but does not target the GPU as they can vary from machine to machine. The update in this case, from the little information that is available, targets Graphic handling in threading of the multi-core machines.... however that information does not come from sources I would stake my life on.0
