Proof Profile to a few CMYK profiles in CO 5.0 Pro: works fine here. Have you tried with different CMYK profiles? Have you this problem with a particular CMYK profile?

You might try to temporarily change the monitor profile with ColorSync Utility. Next, start CO 5 Pro and try the CMYK profiles again.

I have the same problem. The CMYK profiles work fine in Capture One Pro 5 when running 10.5.8 but not in 10.6.2. I have tried reinstalling the software, removing preferences, changing the location of profiles. I have created a support case and I'm waiting for a fix. At pesent I have change the screen profile in C1P to RGB and process in CMYK .Then I have to check the colour in PS. Not the best work flow but the only way I can get images out at the moment.

    Thank Paul_E

Changed the monitor profile to a generic one, started CO5, the CMYK profiles worked then changed the monitor profile back to the correct screen calibration profile and everything was still in order. But it seems I have to go through this every time I start the software. But at least I can view the correct colours.

Sounds like your monitor profile - CO 5 combination is not yet fully OS X 10.6 compatible. In general, if you have a monitor profile in use with 10.6.x that you inherited from your 10.5 setup, you are potentially in trouble. Recreate a profile with your profiling software and check whether this software is already 10.6 compatible. Re-calibrate anyway after the 10.6.2 update (my screen calibrated under 10.6.1 was way off after the 10.6.2 update). Snow Leopard is still a moving target, and till then CO 5 can only try to keep up. This is not an easy task due to the great variety of monitor hardware and calibration software.

Hi, Paul thanks solved the problem, monitor profile was changed after update, everything is working now properly in Proof profile CYMK. Monitor set at Adobe RGB 1998, conflict a- cured in Monitor profile sRGB. OS 10.6.2.

    Most regards,

Not sure if I understood your reply to Paul. Did you say you set monitor to use Adobe color space? If you did, I believe you won't be getting good color reproduction. Why not just redo the monitor profile with say Eye One Display and Imatch software. Then from there you should get good color from display to output. Just my 2 cents.

For general information, X-Rite released iMatch 3.6.3 recently for Snow Leopard compatibility.
