UNistalling previous versions with a click of a button

Hey Guys,

Thought I'd let everyone know that I wrote an uninstaller for previous versions of CaptureOne.
It deletes four items as recommended by phaseone before updating the app.
These are

~/Library/Preferences/com.phaseone.captureone.plist ,

~/Pictures/Capture One Library/Capture One.col45 and col.50,

~/Library/Application Support/Capture One , and

Applications/Capture One.app.

Its also handy for just refreshing the install when/if things get buggy.

Its available from

www.rapdigital.net/apps.html

latest version works with Version 4 and 5

    Thanks Jon I find it so useful even on set when things start to go funky I run the uninstall and create a new session file in the job folder and I'm back and running in a few seconds.

    a second version would be even better that does not delete ~/Library/Application Support/Capture One but only ~/Library/Application Support/Capture One/Batch Queue.
    The rest of the settings in this folder (keyboard, workspaces, noise etc.) are actually not a problem.

    Maybe add use at your own risk in upper case bold. Tried this to see if the capture orientation I previously noted/posted was a legacy from v4, but have been getting thumbnail generation errors ever since, am presently restoring from TM.

    @ NN889661 Sorry to hear you are having problems. In one of the earlier versions I had a warning but removed it because I got tried of seeing it as I use it alot between the dozens of machines I manage. If I can help feel free to email me.

    @ thowi Very good suggestion. You may note that I move the Recipes folder to the desktop to avoid deleting them but simply deleting the batch queue may be a better solution. When I get some more time I may rewrite as a Xcode project so I can have options for full uninstall or partial uninstall of selected components.

    Thanks for the responses. I write this stuff I guess because I'm essentially lazy but I'm glad that others find a use for it. Its a pity Phase dont include something like this in the dmg as its the root of so many install issues. Hell they could rebrand my app for a couple free licenses........HINT HINT 😉

    It may not be your script afterall, the error crops up in my new v5 sessions anyway I may have lodge a support ticket. Thanks for the offer, and your enterprising efforts. Dave

    Ok guys updated with Thowi's suggestion re-download the _4_5 version for the MOD.

    I upgraded from c1 4 to 5 to be faster in tethered shooting, but i had just a little improvement: are there any parameters to understand if my system's speed is ok?
