Pictures uploaded on top of each other
Hello
I downloaded a trial version of Cap 7. When I download pictures they download on top of each other causing 2 pictures in 1
What I am I doing wrong?. How can I fix the ones that are downloaded already?
Thanks

My only thought is that Overlay got activated. Look under the View menu. 0 -
Thanks for the reply
I checked.But that is not it..I wish it was0 -
Maybe Multi View is turned on?
Otherwise doesn't make sense unless there is a system problem reading in the images (cross-linked files?).0 -
How would I check that
Thank you0 -

What exactly do you mean by "download on top of each other"?
2 images are merged into a single new file that, when opened, shows the images merged together?
Or maybe in the browser you see a single example of the image but more than one version (variant in C1 terminology)?
Also, when you say "download" are you talking about Importing? If importing are you "importing" to a session or a catalog - or maybe both?
What sort of file types are you "downloading"? JPG, RAW, other?
It might also be useful to understand step by step what you are doing to download the files. Knowing that might suggest something to check in the process you are following.

Hello Yes 2 images are merged into a single new file that, when opened, shows the images merged together
I have imported raw files from cf card
I had about 60 pics in a session I opened another session and they all merged together Making 1 picture with 2 images
Thank you

Could I have turned something on by mistake 0 -
IN the main picture you are editing do you have some circles with crosses in them displayed? 6 in all, one near each corner and one centrally top and bottom? 0 -
Thanks for reply. no there is nothing in the editing picture. 0 -
Well, very odd.
I frequently work with 2 separate session open, (sometimes more) including creating and importing to a new session and I have never seen or heard of such a situation before.
On the otherhand I am using V6 - I guess it is possible that V7 is different in some way - and have a PC rather than Mac based installation so that's another variable in the mix. That said I cannot imagine that there is any functionality around that would be intended to deliver the results you are reporting.
I assume your original image files are also saved elsewhere and safely?
If so I would be tempted to close the sessions (if you have not already done so) then open them one at a time to see what results you get. Or have you already done that?0 -
Did the pictures look okay in the camera's preview? Some cameras have the ability to merge photos. 0 -
Yes the pictures were fine I had 1 session going and I loaded another session and they copied over the first session.I have clean installed and it is still using the old pics and the new ones are still overlaying the old ones 0 -
Ah, a bit more information. Try deleting all the previews out of the cache folder. 0 -
I have the same issues with C1 7-- When importing photos using Catalog, the same photo appeared duplicated-one on the side of the same photo as if being mirrored but not equal. I'm using MacBook Air with Mountain Lion OS. I will revert back to C1 6 because this is very annoying. Not to mention that C1 7 doesn't recognize the camera CANON 50D when tethered. I didn't have this problem when I was using C1 6, Camera tethered was using C1 Pilot with my iPAD. 0
