Capture Format Question

Can someone explain the difference between IIQ Raw Large.tif and Raw .cap? Is there any disadvantage to using IIQ Raw with a smaller file size than Raw cature?

    Raw .cap is an old discontinued raw format. IIQ Large (and small) were developed along with the P30, P45, and P21 to be a smaller file size to improve the backs performance. While the newer backs have on board IIQ processors for faster performance, older backs can still use the newer format to save space.

    IIQ large is completely lossless, so there is absolutely no difference in quality. IIQ Small is slightly lossy so there is some minor loss in detail however in most situations you cannot even see the difference.
