Pictures appear double after import

Good Morning!

I have a strange behavour: sometimes the pictures apperar twice in the browser. Filename is also the same. If I delete one, the other is getting missed.

If I make some changes, it affects only the «thumbnail» I made the changes.

Any thoughts what this could be and how I can fix this issue?

  Could you be importing RAW and JPG pairs?

  A couple of things to check first.
  
  1 Check the end of the file name. Does one end with jpg and the end with what everr is the extension for a raw file from your camera? Then you have imported RAW+JPEG images as pairs (usually a good choice). In this case you could use either version, but if you decide to edit you will get much better results editting the RAW.
  
  if this is not the case, then:
  
  2 Check the upper left corner of preview or image. Does one have a [1] and the other a [2]? If so, then you somehow have two variants of the same image.

  thanks for the suggestions! But
  
  1 It is RAW-only.
  2 It happens only rare times just after the import. No variants.

  This happens to me too (on rare occasion). Also after Synchronization.
  And I also work with raw files only.
