Error [1 - resError]
Hello,
After the Import and Adjustment of a .TIFF the 9.1 output process crashes (using all recipes) with the following error:
Error processing file xxxxxx.tif - Error [1 - resError]
Anyone, know what it means, where I can find info or how I can fix it ?
Thanks,
Roger

Can you look into the application.log, I expect a few lines there, and post it here?
Is this a permanent error? I have the same error message when processing raws to jpg. It occurs occacionally, sometimes it works the second time, sometimes I have to repeat starting the output process several times.
I have created a support case and suggest you do the same.
Cheers

Hi,
My apologies for the delay in responding..... Ive tried this multiple times on multiple file types (NEF, ORF.) Ive uninstalled and reinstalled CaptureOne and the Catalog several times.... Ive run "Hardware Acceleration" with all combinations..... Tried all recipes.... etc., etc...... Tried everything and cannot get the program to process any files. Capture One is unusable/worthless as is. Any suggestions would be helpful - Thanks for your interest.
Here is part of the Application log you suggest......

Have you submitted a support case to Phase One? 0 -
Yes, I just submitted the same info Ive posted here.... 0 -
I used to get failed exports with "Error [1 - resError]" error messages, but in my case it was due to a very unusual set of circumstances. It is unlikely to be the same as your problem, but just in case...
The cause was another application (called "Networx") I had running on my PC. It would close the socket connection between CaptureOne.exe and ImgCoreProcess.exe processes. Once the connection was closed the ImgCoreProcess.exe process would shut down and all exports would then fail.
There would be entries in ImgCoreExternal.log similar to:
2015-09-14 18:45:00.855> Connection failed.
2015-09-14 18:45:00.855> Exiting
2015-09-14 18:45:00.863> Shutting down
The ImgCoreProcess.exe process should be running in the background whenever Capture One is running. Is it showing in Task Manager's Processes list?

Hi,
I believe I have found what is causing this error. I use BitDefender AntiVirus Plus 2016 and I think it is preventing the Capture One Process to execute properly. I added a couple of BitDefender Exclusions.
1) Shield Excluded Processes - I added the program CaptureOne.exe & CaptureProcess.exe
2) Ransomware Protection - I added the program CaptureOne.exe & CaptureProcess.exe
I also removed Win10 Pictures folder from Ransomware Protection but I would think it is 1 or 2 above that allowed Recipe Processing.
With these changes CaptureOne seems to be properly working again. Your solution might be found in the Virus Protection software.
Hope this helps!0 -
I reported the same problem yesterday although in my case is has been random files in a batch rather than being unable to process at all. I first noticed the problem back in V8 days some months ago. It may have existed before then unnoticed.
I also suspect that other software is interfering - I use AVG for virus protection but also had another application running required for an on-line banking application. I became aware that this second application was known to interfere with some other applications (Browsers in particular) so have disabled it when I don't actually need to have it running. I am slightly suspicion of SSD disk management as well, especially when the disks are somewhat full.
2 or 3 months ago I thought the problem had gone away after some updates that included V9 and some Win 7 stuff that fixed some intermittent Windows Explorer problems - but in the last week or so I have noticed that occasionally files are failing to be created even though as in the published log extract the file is reported as developed.
Based in your analysis I'll see what, if anything, I can find in recorded activities that might connect the potential relationship between C1 and AV or other applications in an attempt to confirm your findings but for different interfering applications.
This could be "fun".

fyi....
Even though I had/have excluded a virus check on "CaptureOne.exe" when I went to process the same photo for a second time I got the same Capture One Process Error Message again. So, I also added "CaptureProcess.exe" to the list of exclusions. It started working again. Probably need to exclude both.0 -
I received this same error for the first time today. After some small prints without issue I tried a 13x19in and received this Error [1 - resError]. In my case a system reboot fixed the issue. (I do not use BitDefender) 0 -
When I have this error the processing works after one or a few times more pressing "process". Did you try this too before rebooting?
If it occurs again I suggest to create a support call for this annoying issue.0 -
I know this is an old thread but I am getting this same error trying to print to a Canon Pro-100. I have contacted Capture One support and after having me completely uninstall the newest version I still get the error.
If I stop and restart the software I can print one print, but then the error occurs.
Capture One's support team told me my problem must be in the printer driver as it isn't there software.............
Tonight I will turn off the virus protection while I am doing images and see what happens.0 -
This definitely is not driver problem. I hit this error occasionally during printing and some times when outputing to Jpeg. After CO 9.2.1, the frequency of happening is less but still happens. 0 -
I wish there support team would believe that! 0 -
Please sign-up to Beta-programme from the personal user-account. We are digging deeper into the reserrors, but we need some help from our userbase on this one. 0 -
I will. I did get a much more involved message from the support group today, hopefully we will find out the problem. I do love the images I am getting out of the program! 0 -
