4.0 and 4.5 in tandem?

Is it possible to run both 4.0 and 4.5 from the same computer without running into problems? I ask because 4.5 refused to read the majority of my existing files, so I've reverted to 4.0.1, which works fine.

But now I've been sent some files that can only be opened in 4.5, hence my question.

I haven't tried it but you can install different versions of CO 4 in their respective folders (/Application/CO4 and /Applications/CO45 for example). I expect this would work without problems when running one at a time. Even running them simultaneously could be possible but I am not less sure about it.
