Pick Curve Point
Firstly when you use the Pick Curve Point tool, you'll see the value sample to be shown differently from that on the Output/Input windows of the Curve panel.
What I'm hoping to see is the ability to have up to 3 Pick Curve Points like in Photoshop and when I'm moving any of these points, the absolute values are shown somewhere so that I know my adjustments are getting close to my intended values. If the Output/Input windows can show these absolute values to match the image window, it will be great.
Is there anyone else wishing for something like this? Your comments?

Henry,
Create a support case and we can Log the feature request the right way. What makes absolute values different between photoshop and Capture One is the way the RAW file is read in C1 as appose to the defined pixel measure in a Processed File from photoshop.0 -
Hey Drew,
Sorry I did not express myself clearly.
What I'm saying is that when I place the Pick Curve Tool on the image I see a reading of say RGB 64 but on the Curve panel window the Input and Output values are very much lower.
Let's say I wanted to bring that value of 64 to 78, then it would be very much faster if I can have the Input value showing 64 when I work on that picked point. As I move that point the Output value should change while the Input value remains at 64. That way once the Output reaches 78, I can stop without having to go back to the image to check. I know I can do the whole process after conversion in PS but doing inside C1 means I will not introduce excessive artefacts or noise.
As to creating a support case, I'll take a look again at the Support option to do so. Thanks.0 -
Henry,
The field you see in the RGB values above the image is the RGB channel average, not an Absolute Value. The reason that is not the Absolute Value is because the color management is being accounted for and again the "Absolute Value" in a RAW is handled quite differently than in a Processed File. The value that you see in the Curve, once a point is selected is a better representation of the Absolute Value.0 -
Drew,
There in lies the problem. I cannot be sure when looking at the image. I need to pick the point and then go to the Curve panel but I have no way to check on the Image after I make the adjustments since on the Image I will get a different set of values.
Once the image is converted and I check PS, I notice the RGB values to be closer to the Image panel values not the Curve panel's.
Of course I restricted all CMS to Adobe RGB in this case.
ps> I just uploaded a .cr2 file to illustrate what I'm trying to do.0 -
Henry,
Follow up with the case. The forum might get murky if we go into the difficulties of the feature here.0 -
Agree Drew.
I have replied in Support.
Thanks for taking this up.0
