Proper way to remove files from Albums
I have been using Session Albums more and more, and also use this with Expression Media 2.
Ran into a problem today, deleted an image from an album that had several variants. When I deleted the file from the album the next varient shows up in the album. Delete that one and the next varient shows, delete again and finally the image is gone from the album.
BUT, going back to the directory that holds the image I find that C1 6 has really deleted all the varients.
I tried both the delete key and the menu for the delete from the album and both DELETES the varients first.
What is the right way to do this?

I looked into this on both Win & Mac, same result as you described. Does not look good to me because an album is a placeholder only, a shortcut to images from different folders.
I reported the issue to Phase One for further investigation.0 -
Thanks for confirming my experience.
I was deleting my varients in the albums and was not really paying attention to what was going on in the image folder with the varients. Came as a shock when I realized what was happening.0 -
Thanks for submitting it to PhaseOne, Paul. Any update on this?
I am having the same behavior: add a variant to an album, it adds all variants for that image, delete a variant, and it deletes the variant from the session, not just the album.0
