Well, if you open CO1 in session mode, you can browse all folders in finder without having to do any importing or some such...

    Hope that helps

Even using a catalog you can tell Capture One to leave the images in their current location when you import them.

That means that all your image files will still exist in their current folders.

Isn't this what Media Pro is supposed to do?

John, I recall (but can't locate) some posts here about this, to the effect that C1 is getting ever closer to incorporating the functionality of Media Pro, and in particular that CO 9.0.3 has its key-wording features.

FWIW, I have never bothered with keywords, preferring to use the Album/Project/Group features to identify and file images, but saw the tutorial on keywords (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UBObNYbDPU) and gave it a whirl. I'm a convert ...

    Hi guys,

I wish with all my heart that I would be able to swift from Adobe (Lightroom and Bridge) in terms of handling my RAW images.
I searched and researched all I could, but it simply seems like Capture One is NOT geared to be a browser software like Bridge is.
The catalog mode makes it's own system, but what I and everyone I asked find more usable, is software that simply reads the folder structure already existing.
All my images and raw images are neatly sorted in it's own folders and works on either mac or pc, and are not dependent on a software to read it.

So I guess my question is: Are there anything I'm missing or are Capture One simply not made to "browse"?

Thank in advance for your help, and thank have a nice day 😊

I was a Bridge user so I know what you mean.
You can browse by going to the Library tab than System Folders.
The main reason for me using CO was because it had sessions. It's like automatically creating and organizing the folders prior to each shoot.
