Settings are stored in files (1 file for each image) in the Capture One \ Settings subfolder of the image folder. You can backup the folder (with your images) to prevent loss of information.

OK, I understand that. But what if it forget the settings and you want to reapply them?
It seems to lose the settings if it has been a while. But if I just reactivate the base characteristics, they will then reappear. Is that how it is supposed to be?

Paul's answer to your unedited first question was correct...adding to that...

There are two ways to "disconnect" the info that I know of....did you either move just the image files to another location without including the CaptureOne sidecar folder? Or perhaps might you have renumbered the files with another program after adjustments?

Both of those will cause adjustments to be "lost"....and I'm unclear what you mean about the camera being forgotten....can you clarify that? Someone else might be able to answer....

Doesn't packing as EIP retain all the adjustments without the sidecar files needed? I believe it does. In general settings you can make this modification.

If I'm mistaken here someone please correct me.

    Thanks,
    CL

I believe page 111 paragraph 13.5 of the manual states that ".EIP is supporting RAW files from any Phase One back." Are you using a Phase One back?
