Can't note a tiff image
Strange : with some of my tiff images in C1 I can't note them (* to *****). With some I can, with other I can't... I can give a color, but no star.
Edit :
I've noticed that there is a little "eye" on the right bottom corner. And also there is no possible editing (contrast, exposure, etc.) for those pictures.
They come from scanned negative.

Either the TIFF files are too big or they have an incompatible Alpha Channel/Non-RGB color space. 0 -

Thanks,
Are those tiff limitation gonna be solved in future version ? Because sometimes one needs to edit images in Photoshop and end up with a large file (pano for instance) and alpha channels... That creates sometimes some confusion because one need several softwares to catalog pictures.0 -
As these limitations are not in error but rather there by design, there is no fault to solve.
If you would like the ability to edit larger TIFF files and or files with Alpha channels please create a support case and we will submit it to the developers as a feature request.
In your specific case, however, I would also suggest you provide us an example TIFF to verify why the files are not able to display.0 -
I understand it is not an error, but as C1 got new catalog possibilities that would be normal Ithink to have the possibility to handle major file formats like Tiff alpha channel or big size, maybe psd, jpg is already displayed, any common file format used for photo or web editing. Otherwise there are dangers in using multiple image catalog to have different versions of the same file and not knowing were is the definitive version. AT least displaying them correctly evgen if they are edied in other dedicated image software like Photoshop for psd for instance.
Another thing wich is really an issue regarding those tiff files : if there is alpha channel or too big files, ok it is not recognized. But if there is no alpha channel and if the size is OK, then in the import window, you only see the file name, no preview, blank preview. Even is they are correctly displayed in the main window.
I'll do a support case for those points.0
