Colour correction for Zeiss ZE lenses
Hey all,
I would really want to see a easy way to colour correct the (high contrast edges) chromatic aberrations that some times appears on photographs taken at wide open apertures for lenses such as Zeiss 21mm, 35mm and 100mm (canon versions).
What I'm really asking for is a simple colour shift (towards any of colours of the spectrum) similar the one found in the white balance tool. I know that there is a colour shift tool already, but one can only shift a specific colour towards the 2 other colours that are on the left or right from it in the colour spectrum (eg. blue can only be shifted towards purple or green).
If this is something that will be implemented in the future releases of cOne I think it should be in correlation with increasing to at least 10 (or even better making it unlimited) the number of adjustments layers (secondaries colour correction layers).
I can only say that I love my Zeiss lenses (and taking photographs at wide open apertures) so this improvement will be a nice addition to cOne software.

Hi Cristian,
Can you tell us whether you have any possibility currently for correcting chromatic aberration for the Zeiss ZE lenses? Have you used the 'analyze' feature and correlated sliders or is it grayed out when using ZE lenses on a Canon?0 -
Hey all,
Just to be more precise, for a 5D mk2 full frame image (not cropped), one can only see the above mentioned phenomena, if one makes a zoom in of 67% or more (in cOne software).
The corrections for the chromatic aberration (''analyze'' + purple fringe) are working for photographs taken with Zeiss ZE lenses, (in a similar way as for any other ''supported'' lenses). The result is good enough for a 50 cm wide print 😊0
