Automask not working for me...

Sorry, but I guess there was some user error involved.
I had to "release" the the pen and then the mask is being processed. Sometimes with success, sometimes not...

However, I am not much impressed yet - I might have to practice a bit more to get better results.

    Thanks

    Michael,

If there is a strong line to work with automask works well but then there are many who feel that such a clear definition can make things look a little false - depends on what you are changing and where you are starting out.

I find I don't use it as much as I thought I would when it was first introduced. In many cases masks do not need to be pixel accurate for the change they are applying and can look more natural to the eye without needing a sharp edge. So regular masking can work rather well anyway.

On the other hand if you like what it does (especially if working with a lot of architecture perhaps?) I would expect that a few periods of use will provide you with all the experience you will need to make it work for you.

It needs practise. Focus on the most inner circle. That circle should not touch the contrast color.
