P45-Automatic brightening of images in C1 DB
I am a new user of C1- db version 4.6. My DB is the P45. I shoot untethered and load images via a card reader.
When I open images in C1 the brightness immediately increases, about 1/2 to a full stop over my original exposure depending on the general level of exposure in the photo. When I compare the histogram from the one shown on the P45 to the one displayed in C1, the C1 histogram is shifted to the right reflecting this increase in exposure (or brightness). The same is true when I compare histograms and rgb settings from photos opened in Lightroom to those opened in C1. I have tried changing the default base characteristic curve setting to linear and this usually gets me about 1/2 way back to where I started, but then I have to readjust contrast settings and black point/white point settings. Is there a way to alter the C1 default settings so that my photos load as shot? Or am I just missing something?

NN,
Your question should not stay unanswered by Phase One staff. I think they missed it unintentionally. Either mention P45 in your subject line or open a thread in the P backs forum.0
