Brush softness

Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to change the behavior or the brush softness. The thing is, even when I push hardness to the minimum possible, the area that actually gets gradually (from the center to outside) affected is two close to the center. If you consider the space between the inner and the outer circumferences being 1, the space getting affected is 0.2 or less. Due to that, images still looks hard.

I would like to know if it is possible to explore the entire space between the inner and the outer circumferences in the brush by gradually dimming the effect. The standard gradient scale is too hard.

  Your options are limited to the hardness setting you already mentioned and the brush size. I recognise the issue at hand and use sometimes a larger brush to make it relatively softer.

  Paul any thoughts on when it will get fixed by factory? I think this is since version 7.

  I'm not sure that I fully understand what you are asking, but as well as brush size and hardness, there is also an opacity setting. Can adjusting that as well help you?
