Flickering of Images while in Media view

Having issue viewing images in"Media" view; images flicker and are soft often takes 20-50 sec to render actual view.
We are using "Light Table" in the interim as a work around.

Does anyone know how I may contact PhaseOne directly, I've submitted an online support ticket but no one has responded.

  I have this issue as well, although rendering is much faster for me.
  
  For an instant, the images have a wrong form factor as well. Then they are stretched to correct size, and then sharpened. This takes ~ 1 -2 second for most images (JPEG, from a EOS 40D) for me. This is far from 20 seconds, but still visibly slower than EM2. It doesn't seem to make a difference, whether Apple or PhaseOne rendering is selected.
  
  I'm on Mac OS X 10.6.7, on a current Macbook Pro with Quadcore i7 processor, 4GB RAM, SSD disk.

  Not sure if we're having the same trouble here but I'd describe the problem like this: the image first appears at low resolution and then snaps into sharpness. An image looks like this when it is showing the "preview" for just a moment:

  This behavior is not happening on my PC running XP but it is happening on my Mac Pro. This did not happen on Expression Media. 🙄

  Hey there,
  
  I believe I've found a solution to the flickering/low resolution preview issue.
  
  1. Go to "Edit"
  2. Select "Thumbnails and Previews"
  3. Check "Create full screen preview" and "Display preview at all times"
  4. Play around with "thumbnail Size" and "Quality".
  5. Save as Default.
  6. Finally click "OK"
  
  One last thing, you will notice the catalog file does increase; but that's a small price to pay.

  While that may work as a good workaround for some, it means you are limited to viewing images at the sizes preset in the Full Screen Preview options. The staff where I work have 30" monitors and looking at images at such reduced sizes won't work well for us.
