Testing COv8 while still still using COv7.2.2
I have a late 2013 mac pro with 10.9.5 and CO7.2.2 which has just begun to work properly. How can I install CO8 and mess around with it while keeping CO7 as my primary program?
I have a catalog of maybe 15,000 images; images on a network drive, catalog on the Macintosh HD.

On installing CO8, you get the message to Replace/Keep both. Choose the latter and CO8 will be installed as Capture One 2. You can rename it for your convenience. 0 -

That sounds simple enough for me--maybe even rename it as Capture One 8 😄
As a precaution, should I import my CO7 catalogs into differently named CO8 catalogs--so if CO8 blows up, I can go back to 7?
Thank you!0 -
You can always go back, as CO will leave a backup of the original v7 document (and that also goes for the settings folder, when running sessions) 0
