Catalogues crashing

Is there a way to repair or access a catalogue that continues to crash? I've had it occurring way to often opening a catalogue instantly crashes C1P. I have no idea what does it, I find that I'm working fine with albums and files within the catalogue, and then one day I go to open it and nothing. CIP will instantly crash. If I double click another catalogue, C!P will then be fine and stay open. But as soon as I try to switch over to the other catalogue it crashes the program.

Anyway of repair it, hate to lose all my work.

  Please use the File>Verify Catalog or Session option.
