3.7.7 Processing Speed

I lament upgrading to 3.7.7. The previous version 3.7.6 was noticeably quicker when processing files - even when all parameters remain the same eg. hardware, other software activity, RAM installed, etc etc. Has anyone else noticed the same? As a 1Ds user I'll be very selective with releases in future.

  Has anyone experienced this slowdown? I don't want to update if it's going to slow things down — but I'm afraid I will have to when the Mark III shows up.

  I can't say that I've noticed any difference at all between 3.7.6 and 3.7.7. I'm using XP Pro with 1.5GB RAM, processing 1Ds2 files.
