C1Pro 9 star rating problem

While using C1Pro 9 in a tethered capture situation today I encountered a problem with the star ratings. When my art director gave a star rating to an image and moved onto the next image the star rating would disappear. I had to quickly with back to 8 and that worked fine. Upon testing it tonight with a new session it worked fine, but when I created another session and imported the same images from our tethered shoot the star ratings disappeared again. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. Thanks Chuck
