Move images between catalogs?

Are the images adjusted or not? Are these managed or referenced catalogs?

If not adjusted and the catalogs are referenced, I'd make sure that the source and destination folders both appear in both catalogs, then drag the images from the "wrong" folder to the right one in the "mistake" catalog, and then go into the "need to be here" catalog and synchronize the folder you just added the images to.

If adjusted, I'd export the images with adjustments to a folder and then import them into the "need to be here" catalog.

If managed catalogs, I think the only way to work it is to export the images (with or without adjustments as appropriate) and then import them into the right catalog.

Note: If you've added metadata in C1, I think that the only way to preserve it during the move is to export/import with adjustments. I embed my metadata in the original file, so it's not a problem (Aperture is still very usable for this, as are other programs).
