New session error message
Hi all !
First post, and new thread : the Search ability with words "Session+Persistency", "new+session", "error+message" didn't send any feedback. Sorry for any mistake of mine 😕
Work under Win XP Pro SP2. Following link to the message I get every time I start a new session. Got it first with C1 4.6.2, still pops up when starting C1 4.6.3. The message appears at each new session, wether I have gone to folders with raw files before.
Also a rather sad point : pictures sent to Trash won't move, either won't disappear. Must go through the Windows explorer to succeed... This problem has appeared with C1 4.6.2. 🙄
Any comments, any help to clear this ?
On another hand, I am quite satisfied with Capture One on many points, I enjoy quality results 😄
Regards,
Michel

What drive and folder do you create your session on when the error appears?
What drive and folder are the raw files located that won't trash properly? Are you able to 'Delete Permanently' to a raw file from the File menu?
I suspect both problems might be related and perhaps have anything to do with file permissions. Just a guess though.
Although XP SP3 is required for CO 4.5 and later, I do not suspect this is the issue but did want to mention it anyway.0 -
Hi Paul_E 😊
Thks for your quick reply.
I can't create any folder nor drive before I get this error message, since it does appear at the straight launch of the prog.
I only have a c: drive on my computer, where Capture One is located (under Program Files folder). All pics are located in a photo folder (different, but still under c:)
I'll try out other folder (My pictures...), for a guess. Strange that this error message never appeared to me before updating to C1 4.6.2...
YES, just succeeded with permanent deleting 😊 But Simple "Delete" has not effect at all, among showing up the deleted view, plus the next file in the same window !!! I do think the programming of this command is to be checked deeply and totally 😎
One thing goes through my expectations : I still have all the previous versions of Cature One : could it be a shimmy in the the Registry Base ? The more I doubt the more I am afraid of 😊
To close my talk with good words : the last upgrade is really successful with the screening of the files. Amazing speed !

Thanks, I had exactly the same problem, although I was using an external hardrive.
After an "ALT + DEL" it appears to be "fixed"....
