Film grain - Full or Output size?

When should I apply film grain? RAW full size @ 100% or open up the smaller output JPEG and apply it.
I know that the last four (soft, cubic, tabular, harsh) has an intelligent algorithm according to David Grover.
Not sure if it takes the output image size into account when converting to JPEG.

  If I have the raw file I would never think about converting it to jpg, import it in C1 and do adjustments, not sure for tiff though. I have tried a few jpgs but the result was not very good (compared to raw). C1 is a raw converter.

  Output JPEG as in one that is finished with raw adjustment or Photoshop work 😊

  I would imagine that any smart and subtle algorithms would be smartest and subtlest working with as much data as possible - so a RAW file (or TIFF?) rather than a pre-compressed jpg.
  
  However millions of people seem to be happy hacking jpgs with various photo manipulation tools that include the addition of grain appearance "filters" so it really comes down to a matter of personal preference I guess. And what the final output target medium is likely to be.
