Canon 1Ds orientation
I have CO Pro v5.01, Snow Leopard, and have a tethered session set up with a Canon 1Ds. I am shooting verticals. All seems to work except that under the Camera menu, all the camera orientation selects are greyed out, (the check is next to auto). I have to manually rotate all the captures. How can I set CO to do rotate them automatically as they come in?
Also, how do I set my grey balance to apply to all the captures as they come is as well? First exposure has a grey card that i used the eyedropper on, but it only affects that individual capture, and the following ones still come in unbalanced.
Thanks in advance!

Regarding the white balance you can use the option Copy from Last. Not sure whether this works for the rotation. I recall a discussion here in the past of a user creating a style and use the option Default with Style (Next Capture Adjustments tool). 0 -
Paul is accurate, a Style is the way to go for rotation. The grayed out selections are that way as they only relate to Phase Backs. 0 -
Is there an article on how to properly create a style to rotate images from a DSLR? I've used this to limited success. I've created maybe 4 different image rotation styles. Sometimes I can get one to work, but most of the time the images continue to hold the orientation as set from the camera. Where that is a real problem is shooting straight down. Turning off the auto rotate function in the camera does not seem to change the situation. I really miss the simple dialog box to force orientation, from 3.79. Will that ever come back? 0 -

Me Three! That was a great function that would really help when needing to shoot directly over head. It's a drag to have to rotate each image after it comes in.0 -

Have you guys already peeked into CO 5.1 Pro, released earlier this week? Because I think Phase One delivered what you are talking about (Camera menu, Orientation).0 -

I agree. You used to be able to set up the orientation in preferences so all the frames came in the right way. Now it's a pain to change each one or do it in a batch. I used the 1Ds now the 5d mII and the 7d. 0
