Expression doesn't recognize any of my files. Jpg's tiff's eip doesn't matter can't even start a new catalog. I must be doing something wrong otherwise Expression is completely useless.

    Hi Rogbo,

Have you updated Mac's camera raw compatibility? Raw preview support on mac is handled via Mac's image core so i this is not up to date it will not handle the raw files. I tested some K-7 PEF's on my catalog and the previews appeared in Expression Media without issue.

I thought that my OS was up to date, but I will check. Is there a place on the Apple's website where I can find RAW support?

    Ok,

and the list for leopard 10.5.8:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1475

But, were are Phase One RAW ❓
On my G5 "Quad-Core" Epression Media shows only the small thumbnails from my P25 /P30+ 🙄
with 14GB of Ram, MacOSx 10.5.8
10.6x is not working with this "old" PPC-Mac 🙄

    Drew,

I have the appropriate RAW compatibility update already installed. iPhoto can open my K-7 files. Expression Media cannot show me thumbnails of RAW files and cannot open the files. I get an error message [-2008] "No importer found for media file. Please consult the Help topic 'Media Rendering Errors" for more information." I have done that to no avail.

    Rob,
Can't see the same on my end. Create a support case and provide a file, we'll take it from there.

I seem to be having a similar problem. Maybe its my newness to Expression, but as I import my Phase One Raw TIF files I can see them as thumbnails. Unfortunately they do not open larger in Media.
I have 'Create Full Screen' Previews on. 'Display at all times'. Normal Size. I have reimported them and changed all the settings. Rebuilt the files. Still the images are not displaying full screen previews.
My exported TIFF and PSD files are displaying full screen.
I am using P45+ Files. OS X 10.5.8 (up to date). I have also just downloaded another Camera Raw 4.6 just in case my older version was corrupt.
    Thanks in advance.

Camera Raw 4.6 sounds like an Adobe plug-in. Other posts in this thread refer to OS X's camera raw update (3.2 is current) for 10.5.8 and 10.6.3. Confusion or misunderstanding?

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for that. So I tried to download OS X Camera Raw 3.2 (and 3.0) onto my OS 10.5.8. It does not want to download because I do not have Aperture 3 or iPhoto 09.
I always update my OS when prompted, so thought this would not be a problem. Curiously, I did not see any Phase One RAW files on the list of supported raw's (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1475)?

Phase One files are handled a bit different than what the Apple RAW Support is working with. Again, create a support case and we'll take a look.
