Updating Folder Does Not Work

Has anyone tried to update a folder in an existing catalog? Instead of adding only the new subfolders to the existing folder higherarchy, it seems to create a new catalog with the name of the folder you are updating. I am using the Windows version.

  I just tried two things.
  I use Capture One 6.3
  
  I first made an output folder with CO with a photo in it. I "added" to MP1 via a right click in CO. It went over just fine.
  
  I then made another new folder via CO with a processed file.
  I went to MP 1.1 and right clicked the upper level folder and asked it to" update the folder now".
  This too was successful.
  
  No new catalog. It does add some words at times after the Catalog name in the upper left, but this has always been the case. The catalog remains one and the same.
