A Locked Post re Mavericks!
Hi
My post re Mavericks support is now locked? Why? How?
Here is the most arrogant reply from Phase One - remember - Media Pro is advertised for serious PROFESSIONAL photographers for a seamless workflow who presumably need / use the program for their livelihood.
" Media Pro is not currently supported in Mavericks so there may be bugs. At this time we do not have a timeframe that we can communicate for when mavericks support will be implemented.
Best regards,
Phase One Support"
I AM FUMING - I REMEMBER HOW MUCH I PAID FOR THIS PROGRAM!!!
Please could you suggest as to how I get a refund - I am a professional photographer who does rely on MP and cant upgrade

Out of curiosity...
Did you upgrade to Mavericks already?
Have you already tried running MP on Mavericks? If so, what problems have you noticed?0 -

Welcome to the club. I too bought it in the first couple of days when it came out. I believed all the marketing promises; some of which have been rescinded, others not acted on. Seamless integration with CO my foot.
After all this time, MP and CO cannot agree on something as simple and straightforward as color labels; nevermind the crashes, hangups, and performance issues.0 -
I haven't been able to use Media Pro on any mac operating system since it trashed my catalog. Now I have to reboot my machine when it gets to the point where the % left to open or save gets to about 2300%. It merrily flies past 100% and on to? I left it overnight once and eventually it just hosed the machine.
I don't believe Phase have any intention of fixing Media Pro. I think they are just moving everything into Capture One Pro. But I can't trust Capture One Pro not to hose all my information. So I am using Lightroom as a catalog and just using capture one to edit raw files. But editing single images is the worst workflow in the world for Capture One Pro so more and more I am being pressed into simply using Lightroom.. and I hate Lightroom.
I too wish Phase would be more collaborative. But they are not, and their is no sign that will change anytime soon. I also get the sense that Phase have less respect for clients in the USA, unless of course you are Erik Almas or ???
This is not a very useful post.. but I guess my point is don't take it personally.0 -

This is all I use MP for these days. I operate with only a small MP catalog (certainly not all my photos, or anything on a remote drive). I run CO in a sessions mode; and I send it single photos rather easily from MP. They end up in the "not in catalog set" folder. I delete them from this folder after I'm done with them.0 -

Please clarify... Are you also running Mavericks on your MacBook Air? Or a different OS?0 -

iMac 10.9 & MacBook Pro 10.9
Media Pro runs just as it did before Mavericks...(I have never had a problem with Media Pro crashing)0 -
I'm looking at the release note highlights for Media Pro 1.4.2 and it says: Media Pro 1.4.2 for Mac is not fully compatible with OS X 10.9 Mavericks.
Not sure what isn't working still. I haven't upgraded to Mavericks so I don't know personally what problems there still are.0
