Session from 4.x
I have just upgraded to 5.x Pro. I noticed that Sessions in 5.x have new extensions in the file name. What about all the Sessions I created in 4.x? Can I just click on those Sessions and it will automatically updated them for 5.x use? Will all the subfolders and their related files within those Sessions be updated too? Or I should start a new Session in order to gain the benefit of the 5.x new program routine in raw processing? What about the adjustments that I made using 4.x, etc.

If you double click a Capture One 4 session you should see a prompt that says Capture One needs to rebuild the session to Capture One 5 specs. This shouldn't take long and will carry over all your older info, just a new platform to work from. 0 -

Thanks for your quick reply. Appreciate very much.
I double clicked on the 4.x Session, it did not open up Capture One 5 Pro automatically. I had to select "Open with" and chose C1 to run. Is this normal?
After it opened the Sessions I found they kept all the old folder and sub-folders such as "Capture One Settings\Image Settings, ...\Previews, ...\Thumbnails"? Can I delete all these folders and sub-folders?
BTW on deleting Sessions from 5.x, there was another post in this Forum suggested that we can delete Sessions using Mac OS Finder window. Is there any problem doing that or there is a way within 5.x to do that cleanly?0 -

Sure, no one is stopping you. These always make a nice backup and I would "Move" them to a new location before I deleted them (better safe than sorry).[quote="fwlum" wrote:

Why would you want to delete Capture One 5 sessions? If you want to "clean up" the program you can choose the "Clear Menu" option from the session drop down (in the Library tab). Other than that Finder will delete almost anything you want it to.0
