    My Powerbook has a panel like that for battery conservation options. I don't think those controls are available on a tower

    John--Yup!

    SS from my Dual G5 setup.

    Hmmm--yes I thought it might be opened from OSX-he did say a later Dual model--oh well-

    Thanks for trying, I guess I will go back to Panther, or Jaguar or whatever I was running on this machine. I really only use this computer for Capture One tethered so it is not such a big deal. I was hoping there might be a memory or preference setting that I could play with. Oh well.

    Thanks for the link. I tried a few things but nothing really gave much of a speed improvement. However, I can report that 3.7.3 Release Candidate is much faster. Thanks, Phase One.
